A new IFC investment in senior bonds issued by UniCredit Bank S.A. will expand access to green loans for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and individuals, including women, to bolster the country’s climate finance market and support its green transition.

The financing will be complemented by advisory services from IFC to support Tanner develop an embedded finance strategy to enhance client acquisition through partnerships with non-financial companies.

The package consists of a $10 million loan, a $30 million loan syndicated by Blue Orchard, ResponsAbility and ILX, and a $5 million Trust Loan provided by IFC as the implementing entity for the Managed Co-Lending Portfolio One Planet Program.

In a strategic move to bridge funding gaps for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and green initiatives in Serbia, IFC is set to invest up to EUR 65 million in Erste Bank a.d. Novi Sad.

The $20 million facility will boost financial inclusion for individuals and small businesses in Kenya’s most underserved regions that serve as a home to hundreds of thousands of forcibly displaced people from countries across Africa.

This is IFC’s first blue investment in India and the first blue transaction by a financial institution in the country.

The loan will have a five-year tenor and a three-year grace period, helping Banco BICE increase and diversify its long-term financing to support the housing portfolio growth.

IFC's financing is expected to help TBC Bank further grow its SME and climate finance portfolios. In addition, the project will help strengthen Georgia's climate finance market by promoting best practices in sustainable lending.

The investment will help close Brazil's social financing gap and bolster a more inclusive economic growth.

The $75 million IFC loan will support Li & Fung's working capital needs and its supply-chain fintech affiliate Air8 in expanding its supply-chain solutions and financing services for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
